Thotar gives you a series of three taming rods, each one is different and allows you tame beasts in the next order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and finally an Armored Scorpid. Upon getting finished the taming Element of The hunt chain, you must head to Continued Orgrimmar and speak to Ormak Grimshot from the Valley of Honor to be able to unlock your companion pet managing abilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Last but not least, remember to visit the Pet Trainer and grab the Pet check that capabilities that you will need to give to your pet.
